It is with great sadness that I must report the passing of one of our Brothers.
In Memoriam: Bro. Robert A. ‘Bob’ Thieman , PM
Born: August 18, 1928 Initiated: July 12, 1960 Passed: Dec. 20, 1960 Raised: February 28, 1961 in Delta Lodge # 471 F & AM, Stockton, Ca.. (Now Morning Star Lodge # 19) Entered into Rest: Friday, Jan. 30th, 2015 – Eighty-Six Years, 5 Months and 15 Days.
Brethren, Our Worshipful Brother has laid aside his Fraternal tools.
Bro. Bob was born in Minnesota to Adolph Thieman and Eileen Grace (Nutt) Thieman. He moved from Minnesota to Stockton, CA when he was 16 years old. Bob joined the Army in 1946 and was honorably discharged in July of 1948. Bob married his sweetheart Barbara Ann Price in 1950. They resided in Stockton and had three children, Kurt, Christine, and Fred. Bob attended COP in Stockton and was a 1953 graduate. In 1962 Bob and Barbara moved their family to Oakdale and Bob began working at Hunt Wesson Foods. He worked there until his retirement in 1991.
Bob served our Summit Lodge # 112 F & AM as Treasurer, Junior Warden, Senior Warden and was elected and presided as Master in 1977, he was a Summit member for 41 years. He affiliated with Escalon Masonic Lodge # 591 in 2009. Bob received his ‘Golden Veterans’ Anniversary Award for Fifty Years membership in Dec. 2010. Bob was also a member of the Shriners’ AAHMES Temple in Livermore, CA. Bob will be remembered as a caring and thoughtful man who loved and cherished his family and many friends. And by his service he will also be remembered as a dedicated Mason. Bob leaves behind seven Grandchildren and fifteen Great-grandchildren.
Services will be held tomorrow, Thursday, February 5, 2015 @ 11:00 AM at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel, 830 West F St., Oakdale, CA with a graveside service following at Oakdale Citizens’ Cemetery, 701 East J St., Oakdale, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, Northern California in Sacramento, Ca.
“Pass Through the Eternal Veil my Brother. Most Glorious and Almighty Father! Into Thy hands, we commend the soul of our dearly departed Brother.” SMIB
